There are only two kinds of freedom in the world: the freedom of the rich and powerful, and the freedom of the artist and monk who renounces possessions.

This is an ongoing (ethically ambiguous) project incorporating, pilfered, historical black and white photographs, text, and banal (palette specific) captures taken with my iPhone. The words are a tether for the images; separated by method, time and hand.
The final result is meant to be a suggestive story telling of juxtapositions informing my position as a woman who creates art and as an inquiry to my position as a woman simply existing in the world.
